  3. Prepare for Water: Place a bucket or shallow pan under the drain connection to catch water.
  4. Disconnect Drain Hose: Carefully loosen the clamp and disconnect the drain hose from the pump or sink connection.
  5. Drain Water: Allow water to flow into the bucket. Tilt the hose to ensure complete drainage.
  6. Check for Clogs: Inspect the drain hose and pump for food particles or debris that may be causing blockages.

Drain System Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Dishwasher not draining Clogged drain hose, faulty pump, drain blockage Check for clogs, clean filter, inspect drain pump
Slow draining Partial clog, kinked hose, pump issues Inspect drain path, straighten hose, check pump performance
Water remains in bottom Drain hose too high, pump failure, clogged filter Lower drain hose, check pump, clean filter system
Drain error codes Sensor issues, pump failure, electrical problems Reset unit, check error code meaning, inspect components
Unusual drain noises Foreign objects in pump, worn bearings, loose parts Inspect pump for debris, check for worn components
Drain cycle too long Restricted flow, pump struggling, high drain line Check for restrictions, ensure proper drain height

Drain System Error Codes

  • DE: Drain Error - Check drain hose and pump for blockages
  • OE: Overflow Error - Float switch activated, check for overfilling
  • PE: Pressure Error - Water pressure issue in drain system
  • LE: Motor Error - Drain pump motor malfunction
