Drain System Overview
Drain System Components:
- Drain pump
- Drain hose
- Drain filter
- Water level sensor
- Drain valve
- Emergency drain tube
Drain System Operation
- Automatic Drain Cycle: During normal operation, the washing machine automatically drains water at the end of each cycle.
- Drain Pump Activation: The drain pump activates when water needs to be removed from the drum.
- Water Level Monitoring: Sensors monitor water levels to ensure proper drainage.
- Filter Protection: The drain filter catches debris to prevent clogging of the drain system.
- Emergency Drain: Manual drain options available for maintenance and emergency situations.
Manual Drain Procedure
Emergency Drain Location | Front bottom right panel |
Drain Filter Access | Behind service door |
Drain Hose Length | 1.5 meters standard |
Maximum Drain Height | 1 meter |
Drain Flow Rate | 20 liters/minute |
Step-by-Step Manual Drain
- Power Off: Turn off and unplug the washing machine from electrical outlet.
- Locate Drain Panel: Find the emergency drain access panel at the front bottom of the machine.
- Place Container: Position a shallow container or towel under the drain area to catch water.
- Open Drain Cap: Slowly turn the drain cap counterclockwise to open.
- Drain Water: Allow water to drain completely into the container.
- Clean Filter: Remove and clean the drain filter of any debris.
- Close Drain: Replace filter and securely close the drain cap.
- Clean Up: Wipe any spilled water and replace the access panel.

Inspect drain pump for wear or damage
Annually
Complete drain system inspection and cleaning
Drain Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Water not draining | Clogged filter, kinked hose, pump failure | Clean filter, straighten hose, check pump operation |
Slow draining | Partial clog, restricted drain path | Clean filter and drain lines, check for obstructions |
Drain error codes | OE error, sensor issues | Reset machine, check drain system, clean sensors |
Water leaking from drain | Loose connections, damaged hose | Tighten connections, replace damaged components |
Unusual drain noises | Foreign objects in pump, worn bearings | Check for objects, inspect pump condition |
Drain pump not running | Electrical issue, motor failure | Check power supply, test pump motor |
Drain System Error Codes
- OE: Drain issue - Check drain hose and pump DE: Door lock error during drain - Check door seal
- FE: Water overflow detected - Check drain system
- PE: Pressure sensor error - Check water level sensor
- LE: Motor issue affecting drain - Contact service
- UE: Unbalanced load affecting drain cycle
