Drain Installation Guide
Tools Needed for Drain Installation:
- Adjustable wrench
- Pliers
- Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
- Bucket or container
- Towels for cleanup
Step-by-Step Drain Installation
- Choose Drain Location: Select a proper drain location with adequate height and accessibility for the drain hose.
- Prepare Drain Hose: Ensure drain hose is not kinked or twisted and has proper clearance.
- Connect Drain Hose: Route the drain hose into a standpipe or laundry tub with a high loop to prevent backflow.
- Secure Drain Hose: Use hose clamp to secure drain hose connection and prevent dislodging during operation.
- Check Drain Height: Ensure drain height is between 60-90 cm from floor for optimal drainage performance.
- Test Drain System: Run a short drain cycle to check for proper water flow and no leaks.
- Final Inspection: Verify all connections are secure and water drains completely without backup.

Drain System Troubleshooting
Drain Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Water not draining | Drain hose clogged, pump failure, filter blocked | Check drain hose for obstructions, clean filter, inspect pump |
Slow draining | Partial clog, kinked hose, drain height issue | Clear obstructions, straighten hose, check drain height |
Drain error code (OE) | Drain system malfunction, blockage detected | Check drain system, clear blockages, reset machine |
Water leaking from drain | Loose connections, damaged hose, worn seals | Tighten connections, replace damaged components |
Drain pump noise | Foreign objects, worn pump, air in system | Check for objects, clean pump, bleed air from system |
Incomplete drainage | Drain height too high, pump weakness, clog | Adjust drain height, check pump performance, clear clogs |
Drain System Error Codes
- OE: Drain error - Check drain hose and pump for blockages
- dE4: Drain pump malfunction - Contact service center
- FE: Flood detection - Check drain system and water supply
- IE: Water supply issue affecting drainage
