Step-by-Step Installation
- Choose Installation Location: Select a window that can support the unit's weight and has access to electrical outlet.
- Prepare Window Area: Clean the window sill and ensure it's level and sturdy enough to support the air conditioner.
- Install Mounting Brackets: Secure the mounting brackets to the window frame according to manufacturer instructions.
- Place Air Conditioner: Carefully lift and place the air conditioner unit onto the mounting brackets.
- Extend Side Panels: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening and secure them in place.
- Seal Gaps: Use weather stripping to seal any gaps between the unit and window frame to prevent air leaks.
- Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 115V, 15A grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Test Operation: Turn on the unit and test all functions including cooling, fan, and thermostat settings.
