Washer & Dryer Tower Unit

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Level
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Tape measure
  • Stud finder

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location near necessary plumbing and electrical connections on a solid, level floor with adequate space for both units.
  2. Remove Shipping Materials: Remove all shipping bolts and packaging materials from both washer and dryer units.
  3. Install Stacking Kit: Assemble and install the stacking kit according to manufacturer instructions to securely connect washer and dryer.
  4. Connect Water Supply: Connect hot and cold water supply lines to the washer water inlet valves. Use only new hoses.
  5. Connect Drain Hose: Route the drain hose into a standpipe or laundry tub with a high loop to prevent backflow.
  6. Electrical Connection: Connect washer to grounded 120V outlet and dryer to appropriate 240V outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  7. Vent Installation: Install proper venting for dryer according to local building codes and manufacturer specifications.
  8. Level the Tower Unit: Adjust the leveling legs to ensure the entire tower is level and stable.
  9. Test Run: Run both units through complete cycles to check for leaks and proper operation.
Warning: All installations must be performed by a qualified installer to ensure proper operation and maintain warranty coverage. Tower installation requires special safety considerations.
