Troubleshooting Guide
Error Code | Possible Causes | Recommended Solutions |

Quick Reset Procedures
- Power Cycle: Unplug the washing machine for 5 minutes, then plug back in
- Error Clear: Press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5 seconds
- Factory Reset: Hold Temperature and Spin buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds
Reset Procedures
Basic Power Reset
Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet for 5-10 minutes. This clears temporary errors and resets the electronic control board.
Error Code Clear
Press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5-10 seconds until the error code disappears from the display. This works for most temporary errors.
Factory Reset
Simultaneously press and hold the Temperature and Spin Speed buttons for 3 seconds. This restores all settings to factory defaults.
Memory Clear
Unplug the machine, wait 1 minute, then while plugging back in, press and hold the Power and Delay Start buttons for 10 seconds.
Child Lock Reset
Press and hold the Child Lock button for 3-5 seconds. If unresponsive, perform a basic power reset first.
Wi-Fi Reset
Hold the SmartThinQ button for 10 seconds to reset network connections. Reconnect through the LG ThinQ app.
Reset Sequence for Persistent Errors
- Unplug the washing machine from power
- Wait 10 minutes for complete discharge
- Check and clean all filters and hoses
- Plug back into power
- Perform factory reset procedure
- Run test cycle without load
