Drain Installation Guide

Drain Tools Needed:

  • Adjustable wrench
  • Drain hose clamps
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Bucket for water collection

Step-by-Step Drain Installation

  1. Drain Hose Connection: Connect the drain hose to the washing machine's drain outlet using the provided clamp.
  2. Drain Location Selection: Choose a proper drain location - standpipe, laundry sink, or floor drain with adequate capacity.
  3. High Loop Creation: Create a high loop in the drain hose to prevent backflow and siphoning of water.
  4. Secure Drain Hose: Secure the drain hose in place using hose clips or brackets to prevent disconnection during operation.
  5. Check Drain Height: Ensure drain height is between 60-100 cm from the floor for optimal drainage performance.
  6. Test Drain Function: Run a quick drain cycle to check for proper water flow and no leaks.
  7. Final Inspection: Verify all connections are tight and the drain hose is properly routed without kinks.
Warning: Improper drain installation can cause water leakage and damage. Ensure proper height and secure connections.

Drain System Troubleshooting

Drain Problem Possible Cause Solution
Water not draining Drain hose clogged, kinked, or pump failure Check hose for obstructions, straighten kinks, clean drain filter
Slow drainage Partial blockage, drain height too high Clean drain system, verify proper drain height (60-100cm)
Drain pump noise Foreign objects in pump, worn bearings Check for foreign objects, contact service if noise persists
Water leaking from drain Loose connections, damaged hose, faulty pump seal Tighten connections, inspect hose for damage, check pump seal
Drain error codes OE error code, sensor issues, pump failure Check drain system, reset machine, contact service if needed
Emergency drain not working Manual drain blocked, pump override failure Clear manual drain path, check emergency drain function

Drain System Error Codes

  • OE: Drain error - Check drain hose and pump
  • FE: Water overflow detected - Check drain system and water level
  • PE: Pressure sensor error - Contact service center
  • dE: Door open during drain - Ensure door is fully closed
