Drain System Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Dishwasher won't drain | Clogged drain hose, faulty pump, drain filter blockage | Check drain hose for kinks, clean drain filter, test drain pump |
Slow draining | Partial clog, restricted drain line, pump issues | Clear drain line obstructions, check pump performance |
Water remains in bottom | Drain pump failure, clogged filter, drain hose issues | Clean filter, check drain hose, test drain pump operation |
Drain error codes | Sensor issues, pump failure, electrical problems | Check error code meaning, inspect electrical connections |
Unusual drain noises | Foreign objects in pump, worn pump components | Inspect pump for debris, check for worn impeller |
Drain cycle too long | Restricted drainage, pump performance issues | Check drain line for restrictions, verify pump operation |
Drain System Error Codes
- DE: Drain error - Check drain hose and pump
- OE: Overflow error - Check float switch and water level
- FE: Flood error - Water detected in base pan
